This North Palm Beach residence, located in the private community of Lost Tree Village, was transformed from a tired 1970s structure into a beautiful, Georgian-inspired home through the collaboration of architect Harry Gandy Howle and homeowner Ann Wells, Chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Bank and Trust.
The original home required significant structural updates to meet modern needs and current building codes. Instead of adding a second story, the team raised the center roof, added Georgian details, and extended the footprint with new wings for the master suite and family room. One standout feature of the redesign is the dramatic barrel-ceiling foyer that now leads into an open living and dining area, drawing the eye to the porch and pool through a series of French doors—an impressive transformation from the home’s formerly dark and unused spaces.
